Happy New Year Resolutions,

I didn’t know on January 1st 2021 that my faithful, yearly resolution, to get a grip on my finances, would actually come true, I didn’t even dare believe it could.

But it was a lucky day in early 2021 when Suzy Kahati came into our lives.

With infinite patience and understanding, she shared her knowledge while guiding us through the surprising simplicities that have led us to stability. It’s her personal touch coupled with intrinsic know how that succeeded in engaging us in a way I hadn’t anticipated was possible.

Simply put, Suzy knows how to put people’s financial lives in order, and her gift is her delightful, cheerful nature. I’ve met few people with such an optimistic view of life, and I think this is essential in achieving financial confidence. This is how she has changed our viewpoints, and in many ways, our entire lives.

The knowledge that we can a) Manage and b) Thrive has indeed been a game changer, not to mention a great improvement on my ability to sleep.

Thank you Suzy for making 2022 seriously significant.

You have my loving gratitude forever

One of the nice things about having a budget is that there is a clause for new clothes and even my turn to enjoy it.

Two new shirts, a black denim jacket and a morning date with Tammy Paul are they perfect way to spend a Friday.

Also thanks Suzy Kahati for helping us create the budget in the first place 🙂

Hi Suzy,

It’s Aliza Chodoff. I hope you remember Dov and I. I’ve been meaning to get in touch with you for a while, so I apologize that it’s been so long. Chag Kosher V’Sameach! I hope your Pesach is going well. I think you know that we are living in the United States now and have since 2014. I was hoping to catch up and to get your advice and guidance on something.
First, I wanted to update you on how we are. Baruch Hashem, we are doing well. We now have three boys. I had another baby in the summer of 2020. I’ll attach a couple pictures for you. The first few years we were here were pretty rough with trying to find jobs and get ourselves firmly situated, but we have found our groove in the last 4 years. Dov and I have both changed careers. He is a Salesforce administrator, and I am working in Development for Jewish nonprofit organizations. I actually currently work for the Weizmann Institute of Science.
I want to tell you that we still use the habits and tools that you gave us. With everything you taught us, we slowly, but surely and consistently, climbed our way completely out of debt. We eliminated all our Israeli debt a couple of years ago, and we have been able to pay off all our credit card debt here. We now own a home with a very low mortgage and interest rate, and we have almost perfect credit scores. The only thing we have left are my student loans, but we have consolidated them at a low interest rate and are on pace to pay them off within the next 5 years. We pay off our credit card statements every month and still maintain a budget and are consistently looking to see if we can pay less for things.
For Dov and I, it continues to be communication, communication, communication. We won’t make purchases over $50 without talking to each other first even though, Baruch Hashem, we’re at a point where we don’t have to do that. We’re at a point where we want to grow our wealth, so we act accordingly.
With that being said, we have also been able to help siblings with their financial troubles, and it’s given us so much satisfaction to be able to pay forward everything you taught us. So much so that I have said to Dov lately that I would like to find out more and research the idea of becoming a family financial coach myself and maybe make a career or even side hustle out of it. The idea of it has gotten me really excited, so I wanted to get in touch with you and see if it would be possible to talk about what it takes to get into the field, any certifications recommended, how to start off with getting clients, etc.
I know we’re 7 hours apart, and I don’t know what your availability is, but I would be able to make myself available at your convenience. I would just love to get any guidance possible from your extensive expertise.
Again, I know it’s been quite a while since we spoke, and I know I can’t say it enough, but your help has been priceless. While our salary levels have increased enormously from where we were in Israel, I know for certain we wouldn’t have achieved the financial freedom we have without your help. Without the habits that we have ingrained in us from your education, we could be making a million dollars and spending a million dollars and still be in trouble. So thank you for everything you gave us.
Warmest Regards,
-Aliza
I wish to take this opportunity to agree wholeheartedly with Bev.  Based on personal experience with Suzy in a professional capacity and looking back at all the information she has deemed important for us to know (pension, insurance, changing taxation laws etc) and thus shared with us here.  There is no doubt in my mind that this woman knows a thing or two about finances.  Suzy understands her clients on a very personal level.  I think of her as a therapist!  Most commendable to have the professional you in Suzy!

Hi Suzy,
Thanks for the stats. Really interesting. And thanks for helping my daughter and son-in-law, Tammy and Yehoshua Paul. They speak very highly of you, and they are clearly managing their money far better than we did at their age, partly due to your help, but I have to say, mainly because of Josh’s determination to handle things properly.
Happy Yom Hatzmaut!

I attended Suzy Kahati’s webinar on “How to Achieve Financial Confidence in a Pandemic”.  How interest it was and most up to date with today.  I have learnt a great deal and have already started cutting down and saving.
Great feeling, thanks Suzy!

Thanks, Suzy, I was thinking of you and wanted to tell you how thankful I am for all  you taught me.  I feel that I am in a totally different place and continuing with the tracking and budgeting.  Even though Zvi and I are currently unemployed, I am not freaking out.  We still have the money from my car that we bought into our emergency fund.  I am also doing some tipulim on zoom and I am doing an online course to become a court transcriber.  Thank you for teaching me not to be afraid and to know how to be on top of everything.

I want to thank you for your help and insight in goal setting.  As a sole proprietor of a small business it is always a struggle to think macro when the micro issues are eating you up.  There is no one to talk with, or strategize with.  I saw your offer the end of last year and immediately took you up on it.  What better way to start off the New Year than with a strategy session with someone to help guide my hand and my thoughts in planning the next year.

Hello Suzy,

A HUGE shout out to you for sending out that information in English.  My spoken Hebrew is totally fluent, but my accountant sent out PAGES & PAGES of things about this affair for atzma’im in Hebrew, and I cannot say the same for my reading.  You totally saved the day with your translation that was sent out via Nefesh b’Nefesh.  Thanks so much!

Stay healthy, chag sameach!

Bless you, sweetheart for sending this link to me!
Fortunately, I was able to follow the Hebrew instructions – but it felt so good with your step by step in English.
It was like you were holding my hand as I worked my way through!
Hopefully, I should be receiving something small from them, after the chag.
Thank you so much, dear Suzy
Much love,
Keep healthy and safe,
Chag Sameach,
Lydie.

“Improving Relationships – Empowering You”

You helped me to visualize where I was and where I needed to go.  Your objectivity was just what I needed.  Being in the middle of the fray prevents me from seeing the bigger picture on a regular basis.  You forced me to pull the curtain aside and peek underneath to look at important issues that are hindering me from being all I can be. Jonatan Z

So many women rely on their husbands to see to all of the financial stuff and then one day they suddenly find themselves in the position where they have to deal with it all themselves.

That’s what happened to me and I was feeling quite overwhelmed by it all – bills, banks, accountants, insurance agents, expenses, etc. It was all knew territory for me and I didn’t have a clue. Fortunately for me, Suzy Kahati came to the rescue!

Suzy went through all my bank statements and assorted files and explained to me what they all were. She then sat with me and asked a lot of questions so that she could create a spending plan for me. This made me aware of what my fixed expenses were, how and when to pay them, and then what were the fluctuating expenses and how to keep within the budget she worked out for them. This put everything into a clear and understandable order for me and meant that I could be in control of my finances.

I would definitely recommend Suzy Kahati to anyone who feels they need help with understanding their financial situation and how to be in control of it. Candy S

Early 2015 I attended a lecture at the AACI offices on financial matters.  I had the pleasure of listening to Suzy explaining many aspects of budgeting and financial savings, and I was impressed.

As a result I asked Suzy to assist me to budget my own income and expenditure, especially since although I was still working, I needed to take future retirement into account.

That was the best move I made.  Suzy clarified so much to me, set my mind at rest as to how I could view my future with regard to my income, how I could cut-back where necessary, and how I could ensure that I would be financially secure if I made certain that I kept a budget schedule on a monthly basis.

Suzy is not only knowledgeable in her field, but she imparts this knowledge in a manner which allows even those who are mathematically disabled to understand.  I have never budgeted in my life, but I followed Suzy’s instructions to the letter, and lo-and-behold, I had a monthly budget which showed me exactly where I was overstepping the mark, and where I needed to rein in. Doreen B

Based on my own personal experiences, I highly recommend Suzy Kahati.  If you are in need of any guidance in the world of personal finance, she is the address.  Quite apart from her knowledge and experience, it is a pleasure to work along with her as she has such a pleasing disposition. Paul R

I highly recommend Suzy Kahati for anyone wishing to get their finances in order – she turned our situation around in a matter of months. No more sleepless nights ? Grant Crankshaw

Dear Suzy, As a business of high standards, A.N.T.s Cleaning, pride themselves on exceeding 100%+ client satisfaction.  Over 90% of their business comes through word of mouth referrals and that is why they choose who they deal with, with the same care and attention as they give to all of their clients. Your name was referred to Sandy by quite a few people and I must say that you have certainly more than lived up to their description and Sandy’s expectations. She needed professional advice about her financial affairs and having now experienced your wonderful services, I would like to thank you personally for the following reasons. You treated her with total and utter respect and not once was she ever made to feel like she should have known the answers herself. You hit every deadline that you promised her. You explained your reasoning throughout the whole process (even when she didn’t quite understand, you were astute enough to recognise this and put it to her again, in a way that then made sense). You have taken away a lot of stress and worry about the future which was her main objective and my main concern. You have put the smile back on her face. You have become a true friend to her. Suzy, we would have absolutely no hesitation in recommending you and your company to anyone that asks.

I would like to recommend Suzy Kahati, our family financial adviser! For years (actually, decades!) I lived in financial chaos – having little idea where my money was spent and no concept of budgeting or planning for the future. Within a couple of months, Suzy straightened my out, helped me say goodbye to most of my credit cards, taught me the value of a budget, helped me trim my unconscious spending and moved me slowly but surely towards financial literacy.

But even more than that, Suzy met with my newly married 28 year old son and his wife and started THEM off on married life with an understanding of the importance of budgeting, of planning in advance, and of keeping track of expenses and income, especially during this time of fluctuating income.

In addition, the other financial professionals with whom Suzy is in contact value her work and her opinions very highly, which I believe is the highest compliment a professional can receive. In short, I cannot recommend highly enough Suzy Kahati, a family financial advisor who is devoted and committed to the well-being of her clients above and beyond the call of duty. Debbie Gador

If you need a family financial advisor, you need look no further than Suzy Kahati. This is an unsolicited recommendation for her fabulous services but I simply felt that I had to share the information! Suzy is highly professional, thorough, friendly, personal and expert at what she does. If you are having difficulty with budgeting, getting out of overdraft and family financial planning, then Suzy is your address. Chana Simon

I recently attended Suzy Kahati’s Seminar on managing household finances and it was excellent. Suzy is very personable, warm and informative. She patiently explained the different personalities and types of family spending habits which we all related to and then very clearly explained how we go into overdraft and how do we get out of it. We were given guidelines in planning our budgets and very helpful tips on how to save money and the importance of it. I for one found it extremely helpful and think everyone would benefit from her she is a great resource!! She also does individual counseling as well as her seminars. Bracha

Suzy is knowledgeable, professional and knows what she is trying to achieve for her client. If you work as a team with Suzy you will achieve your financial freedom more easily. Dorian Hatchuel

I highly recommend Suzy as a family financial adviser. Suzy has provided me with excellent skills to manage all aspects of my financial affairs. Again, I highly recommend her! Roni Reuveni
